Which Weller bottles are worth money?
Top down: Weller Millennium, William Larue Weller, dusty Stitzel-Weller-era bottles, Daniel Weller, then the modern allocated labels, meaning 12 Year, Full Proof, C.Y.P.B., and Single Barrel. Current Special Reserve and Antique 107 carry modest value one bottle at a time but add up quickly in a collection. Era matters enormously: an Antique from the 1980s is a different animal from one bottled last year.
How much is Weller 12 worth?
Well above its shelf price, and the number moves monthly, which is why we don't publish prices for it or for any other bottle: a printed figure would be stale in a season and wrong for your specific bottle on day one. Send it through the form and a real person will give you a current number, usually the same day, free and with no obligation either way.
What's the difference between Weller and Pappy Van Winkle?
Same wheated mash bill, same distillery, different barrels and different aging. Weller is the attainable side of the family, which is exactly why collectors chase it. For sellers the practical difference is price: Pappy commands four figures at the top end while most modern Weller trades in the hundreds. If you're holding both, send both. Collections always quote better together.
I found an old Weller bottle with a tax strip. What should I do?
Don't peel it, don't clean the bottle, and don't open it. That paper strip helps date the bottle and shows it was never opened, and it's worth more to you fragile and dusty than scrubbed. Photograph the front label, the strip across the top, and the fill level, and send those through the form. Identifying old bottles is our favorite part of the job.
